Closing Eve

By noon tomorrow, we should be homeowners again! There is one possible obstacle (that we know of) and it is snow. It snowed tonight, enough to cover the road but not the grass, and it took the Mav 1.5 hours to make the 10 mile drive home. Apparently, traffic was moving at 3 mph because that's what you do when it snows in the south.

We did our walk-through today and, happily, E loves the house. This is good, because the first time he saw it, he kept saying "I no yike dis house!". I think that was because it was the 8th house we saw that morning and he was quite sick of house hunting.

Although he doesn't like house hunting, E does like dinosaur hunting. We spent part of the evening trolling the apartment for dinosaurs. E found one in the bathroom and named it "Peanut". Kind of funny, because that it what we called E back before we knew he was a "he". This is the first time he has actually named something; usually when I ask him what something's name is, he asks me "remember?" (He's now upgraded "remember" to "remember, I told you?").

He later found a second tiny dinosaur hiding in the same spot and named it "Peanut 2".

Anyway, after the walk through, we went out for lunch. We let E have an open cup of water and, after a while, he started putting his hand in it. We took it away and told him not to do that. When he asked for it back, we asked him if he was going to put his hand in it. "Probably" came the response.

An honest response, at least.

Well, probably, we own a house tomorrow. And probably, our stuff will be delivered next Tuesday. Probably, we'll get to sleep in our real bed on Tuesday night. Definitely, we are ready!
